We’re all on the same team: God’s.
ACTS is a body of believers, and part of a global movement of Christians from many denominations and nations dedicated to presenting Jesus personally to this generation.
Our team are passionate about providing students with the tools to mobilise as many as possible to help in this task, and to train and equip believers for their part in fulfilling the Great Commission.
The people we have on board to do so are instructors with heart, skill and a genuine, God-filled desire to see you succeed in your endeavours.
We have an environment to cradle you when you are feeling challenged and to extend you when the power of God takes you to a new level of understanding and ability.
We are looking to expand our team. We would love to hear to from you.
We provide one-on-one mentoring for each of you and your one on one will meet with you at least once a week to discuss where you are at in your personal growth, answer questions, pray with you and challenge you on your walk with the Lord.
Our team consists of David and Hillie Moot, Timothy and Rachel (+baby) Lelsz and Danny and WanLin Morris and family.
We also have a large resource and network of trained Christian counsellors, valuable volunteers, lecturers, elders, and intercessors that make up our wider team family.
David & Hillie
Timothy & Rachel
These two God-loving individuals met staffing in YWAM in 2016, staffed numerous schools together and then became school leaders of the YWAM Zion base. They married in December 2017 and are expecting their first baby in December 2018.
Rachel’s first mission trip was at fourteen years old for ten weeks to India, and she has been involved in missions ever since.
Rachel completed a certificate in missions at EastWest college of Intercultural studies 2012, then undertook her DTS with Marine Reach in Tauranga as a nurse in July 2014. She went straight into staffing the following school.
Rachel’s had the privilege to witness numerous salvations, healings, countless miracles and walks in faith to see the supernatural become natural in our everyday life.
Tim did his DTS with YWAM Zion in Northland in January 2015. Currently working as a diesel mechanic, Tim has a huge heart for people and missions, and for seeing missions in the market place become a reality. Tim has lead teams on frontier missions to China and Tibet and thrives on seeing God work both in and through his daily life in miraculous ways.
Together, Rachel and Tim have visited or served in 18 nations across the globe. Their hearts lie in missions, both overseas and in our home country and they’ve been involved in pioneering, reaching unreached people groups, medical missions, serving in communities and training ever since.
They are super excited for this next venture of pioneering ACTS and seeing what God is going to do in this community and abroad.
Danny & WanLin
We met in 2010 on a Signs and Wonders Second Level School in YWAM, Matamata, and got married
in 2012. We have been blessed with 3 beautiful children.
Over the last 8 years, between us we have staffed a number of DTS’s, and served in the administrative and managing functions in YWAM, on and off.
Danny was also actively employed in a busy New Zealand NGO Community Services Agency until we felt God calling us to Christchurch to be part of what He is doing there.
We are passionate about:
- Discipleship
- Seeing people encounter God
- Seeing people healed and made whole by the power of God
- Family and community
- Releasing and supporting people into their calling and walking with them as they find their shape.
We are excited to see what God has in store for us now, at ACTS.
Ernest Kindong
Ernest is from Cameroon, central Africa. He did his DTS in Ghana in 2008, and served as a palliative chaplain and councilor on the Mercy ships until 2019.
He has a bachelors degree in Theology and enjoys preaching and teaching the gospel. Ernest has a heart for young people, and after watching the Jesus film, he has a real desire to reach the lost. He is passionate about street evangelism, cross cultural ministry, and church planting, as well as worship and discipleship.
Ernest felt lead by the Holy Spirit to join the ACTS team and is excited to see how God will use him as he steps out in faith in this next season.
Anna & Jonny
Anna and Jonny met in 2016 while staffing at YWAM Marine Reach. They are passionate about seeing the kingdom of God come alive in families, communities and nations. Both Anna and Jonny are very creative, and Jonny with his degree in graphic design, has a passion to reach individuals with the love of Jesus while working alongside them in the workplace. Anna has an infectious enthusiasm for life that is evident in her everyday interactions with others. Growing up in a family that values mission, Anna sees the mission field as being one in the nations, but also in the person next door. She has served in 11 nations, seen the miraculous, and witnessed countless numbers being touched by God by simply loving on the one. Both Anna and Jonny have a heart for family, and are excited to be connected with ACTS and see what God has in store for them as they lay foundations and serve Him wholeheartedly.
Joshua Moot
Joshua grew up in a mission orientated family and has been involved in fundraising for missions from a very young age. Joshua first found the school for sale, and was part of the original team that formed and organised a way for the base to be purchased. He is very involved in the foundational work, with council, and the trust and has an eye for detail when it comes to the planning and construction work that is creating what ACTS is today. He has always been fascinated by culture and artefacts, and has a passion in both collecting and restoring Maori and Antarctic relics. His knowledge of cultural history goes well beyond his years, and he is always willing to share a story or two with anyone who is interested. He also loves a good hike in the outdoors, and is a wealth of information on some of the roads less travelled on the Peninsula. He is excited to be part of the team, and see what God is going to do both in and through the school.
